Geologist Alberto Antoniazzi's geological consultancy activity, which began in 1962, is now carried on by Geologist Dr Aldo Antoniazzi's Technical and Environmental Geology Office.
At the beginning, there were very few works for which the legislative provisions expressly required the intervention of a geologist, as in the case of the design of hilly lakes: these works were very popular at the time because public funding tended to increase irrigated crops even in hilly and mountainous areas. Other investigations concerned building land, road works and hydrogeological arrangements, but almost always with assignments at the discretion of interested parties.
In 1998, Alberto and Aldo Antoniazzi continued this consultancy activity, after having established Antoniazzi Studio Associato. At this point, the importance of geological investigations in the management of the territory and in construction projects was by now acquired both by the legislator and by a significant part of the technicians and clients.
The greatest difficulties to overcome were related to the implementation of adequate on-site and in-laboratory tests, mainly due to their cost. The most open-minded, however, had already understood the real advantages, including economic ones, determined by working with adequate foundations on stable ground, performing conscious hydrogeological or structural interventions, and operating in a non-damaging way on territory.
Since 2019, the consulting activity of the firm is carried on by Aldo Antoniazzi.
